An ulikely group comes together. Vampires are staked, secrets are revealed. Kiki makes sandwiches.
TEASER: Druids chant at Stonehenge. As the ritual nears completion, the head priest is shot in the back with an arrow. Mayhem ensues as the angry mob overruns the druids. Enough of the druids survive to cross the Atlantic in viking-like longships. They sail up a great estuary and travel overland to found their colony. They befriend the locals and the two groups share their secret lore. Soon, they attempt the ritual again. This time... something goes wrong. Lightning strikes wildly as the magick rampages out of control. Amidst the carnage, one priest dispels the summoned presence, sucking its energy into himself as he slowly sinks into the ground and disappears. His fellows enact some protective magicks on the site.
CUT TO: Present day Columbia, MD. Kiki and Bob are having dinner at The Tomato Palace. Unknown to them, two "demon hunters" are having drinks nearby at Clyde's. Felicia is having a walk around the lake and runs into George, sitting at the Tomato Palace and reading a book about the occult. Zach Combs is hanging out nearby with a group of his high-school friends.
Two guys approach George and Felicia and engage them in conversation about the book George is reading, Lieberman's "History of the Occult." Kiki's spidey sense is tingling -- there's something not right about these guys. They walk by an Kiki asks about one what time it is. She's not sure why, but she thinks they must be bloodsuckers.
After a bit of conversing, the two shady characters turn around and head back to George and Felicia's table where they proceed to pick them up bodily and begin dragging them off! Kiki springs into motion while Bob pays the check. Russ and Colin -- the two demon hunters at Clyde's -- also see what's going on and proceed to engage. Bob tries to stop them but they pay no attention.
Bob watches from the back as Kiki, Russ, and Colin take on the two Fang Faces. It's apparent that Russ and Colin have seen this sort of thing before; they're both armed with wooden stakes. One of the vamps tries to flee, but Kiki stakes him. Russ takes a nasty fall and the other vamp escapes.
Zach: Where are the cameras?
Bob: They're strategically placed.
Bob makes a half-hearted attempt to convince the onlookers that he and Kiki are involved in making a movie. Nobody's buying it, so he takes them back to his nearby office to discuss things.
Bob and Russ have a quick discussion. It turns out that the two demon hunters are part of the Initiative, formerly thought to be defunct. Bob warns Russ to not mess with his slayer. The two agree reulctantly to answer questions for the others -- the cat's too far out of the bag for anything else to really work.
The episode concludes with the seven milling about Bob's office -- which includes a training facility and massive library -- and getting to know each other. Kiki, ever the polite hostess, serves crudite and sandwiches.
