The plot thickens. Bob and Russ fail to see eye-to-eye about guns. Everyone hits the books. Kiki sells a painting. A new player announces himself with a splash (of blood.)

Felicia learns at almost the last minute that she's being transfered to Appleton High School. Starting tomorrow. Later we learn that Zach Combs is in one of her English classes.
Russ has a meeting with his supervisor at NSA. He and Colin (who is MIA and thought to be "on assignment") are being assigned semi-permanently to the Columbia area. His boss gives him a strange stone found somewhere in Columbia. The stone -- which was discovered many years ago and recently sold on eBay -- bears markings that appear to be American Indian as well as some Druidic runes. Even stranger, the marks all appear to be about the same age, approximately 800 years. The markings seem to indicate that it was part of a protection spell -- there should be others.
Russ and Bob have a talk about guns. Russ feels that it's important for Kiki to learn how to shoot; Bob vehemently disagrees. They discuss the issue at some length and fail to come to any sort of understanding on the matter.
George looks up some old contacts in the intelligence community in hopes of finding some information on Felicia's father Fabian who has been missing for several years. He uncovers data that seem to indicate that Mr. Harte is still alive. His inquiries don't go unnoticed, howerver; his contact Xavier gets questioned at length over the searches.
Russ visits Kiki at her mom's gallery. We get our first look at both Kiki's mom (played by Eva LaRue) and at Kiki's artwork.
Felicia is suspicious of the young woman who knocks on her door and tries to wrangle an invitation. The woman, who turns out to be a vampire, is miffed and somewhat frustrated. She walks away calmly saying "I've got time."
Russ and Kiki respond to the vamp report at Felcia's. Kiki encounters a nasty vamp who taunts her with the story of how he killed and sired her former watcher Frank Ryan. Kiki goes ballistic on him, but she's no match for this guy. She does the smart thing and runs away, but not before this new vamp promises to kill her and do even worse things to her new watcher. He later leaves a drained body leaning against the door to Bob's office. (Russ disposes of it but nobody wants to know where or how.)
Working from a phone number on a business card the vamps gave to Felicia (they have some sort of Occult Encounter Group) Russ and Bob recon the community center. The determine that the vamp group (which Bob dubs "Satan's Book Club") will hold its next meeting Friday at 9pm. Russ tramples on many 1st amendment rights and puts up several audio/video monitoring devices.
It seems like the vamp recruiting must be working -- Kiki, Bob, and Russ are out patrolling when a group of four vamps show up, including the one that escaped their initial encounter. Kiki takes out all four vamps, but not before one of the dirty bloodsuckers gets his fangs into Russ.
