Job

So now Rupert tells me that the WC is out of money. And that I need to get a job. And, presumably, continue to work for the Watchers Council. For free. Go team.

Oh, and it's not just any job. No, I have to get a PI's license. As if that's even possible.

On top of that, we've got some high weirdness going on. (Weird even by Columbia standards.) First, there's some vampire biker gang that's been hanging out. It looks like they've been recruiting as well. We're not sure if they've left town or not.

One of their recruits seems to have offed herself. And do you think she could have the decency to just take some pills or jump off a bridge? No, she has to do some weird magic ritual and spell out "She Comes" on the wall with her own blood. Thanks so much.

Weird things going on with the local cops, too. We don't know if they're in league with the bad guys or just being paid to not look too closely.

FACT: A certain "Lt. O' Malley" claimed to be the investigating officer on the Jenny "Dead Magic Girl" Goach kidnapping.

FACT: There is no Lt. O'Malley on the entire Columbia PD.

FACT: The kidnapping was never reported to the FBI.

FACT: This is very, very not good.

On the good side, the band finally got a paying gig. My guitar tech Matt keeps telling me that Arlington has a big alt.country scene but it's so far. Anyway... we played at a local bar and got paid for it. Woo hoo. We were a little rusty but the crowd was drunk enough that it didn't matter.

And since when is the local bowling alley a demon hot spot?
