Slay what?
If you've noticed the change in the title -- or if you're seeing it for the first time -- you may be wondering exactly what the deal is? Slay do-do?
"Fais do-do" is a cajun expression used to describe a dance or party (featuring Cajun and Zydeco music) held after the children go to bed. The "do-do" part (pronounced "dough dough" not "doo doo") comes from a young children's word "do-do" meaning "bed time" or "I'm sleepy." (From the French word dormir -- to sleep.)
So I'm thinking that "Slay do-do" is, well, what we do -- a little bit of slaying after the children have gone to bed. Cajun and Zydeco music optional.
